The Decentralised Administration of Macedonia-Thrace is a Greek State public organization at a decentralized level. It has a general decisive authority and responsibility in state issues of its prefectures according to Article 101 of the Greek Constitution.
The Decentralized Administration of Macedonia Thrace (D.A.M.T.) is one of the seven decentralized administrations of Greece and has been established in 2011 as a result of the “Callicrates” administrative reform and contains the regions of Central Macedonia and East Macedonia & Thrace.
It is responsible for state affairs in its manor, including environmental policies, water management. It has the institutional mandate to organize, manage, operate the majority of the Greek Border Crossing Points and implement national legislation.
D.A.M.T. employs approximately 750 qualified and experienced personnel as far as the management of projects, programs, studies, procurements, and social actions is concerned.
Furthermore, D.A.M.T. aims at contributing to the constant and prosperous development of the region under its authority, actively participating in development programmes and initiatives undertaken by national and European initiatives having significant experience in this kind of Programmes.
