GAUSS Institute is a foundation for new technologies, innovations, and knowledge transfer established in 2006 in Bitola, Republic of North Macedonia.
The aim of establishing the institute is through the development and application of new technologies, innovations, and knowledge transfer to contribute to the development of a knowledge-based society in the Balkans region.
Our mission: Creation of knowledge-based society using science and technologies that are eco-friendly and sustainable in the long term.
Our vision: The GAUSS Institute grows into a regional center of excellence in the field of sustainable and knowledge-based social development.
Why GAUSS? We sincerely believe that the prosperity of any society is possible only if the allocation of resources and knowledge is according to Gaussian function, i.e. exists their normal distribution. That means that the majority of the population should have enough knowledge and resources to organize their society sustainably.
The GAUSS Institute mainly realises, but it is not limited to, the following activities and services:
- Promotion of new technologies and their usage in all components of society.
- Learning influence of new technologies on the environment, businesses and social life.
- Providing consultancy services.
- Providing services of technology and knowledge transfer.
- Organizing modern professional education and training.
- Support for finding and obtaining donations to the researchers, innovators, companies and organizations from the region.
The GAUSS Institute has implemented and participated in ~ 50 projects funded by different organizations such as European Union (Creative Europe, IPA-CSF, Erasmus+, Interreg, Europe For Citizens…), UNDP (United Nations Development Programme); NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), CEPF (Critical Eco-Partnership Fund – established by World Bank and EC); Civica Mobilitas (Programme of Swiss Development Cooperation); Swedish Institute; US Department of State; USAID Business without Borders project; National and Local authorities of the Republic of North Macedonia, private businesses, etc.
