The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Bitola was founded in 2009 as one of the newest departments in "St Kliment Ohridski" University in Bitola.
Its mission is to educate students in the field of veterinary science applying a contemporary study curriculum according to the principles and requirements of the Bologna Declaration and introducing the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) which ensures recognition for the diploma and wide mobility of the professors/students within European education area. The vision and mission of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is in compliance with the role of governmental authorities such as the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Food and Veterinary Agency, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as with the industry community.
Within its research activities, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine has established a department for scientific activities which includes well-equipped laboratories. The mission of this department is to fulfil different scientific requirements, through continuous maintenance and improvement of research in various scientific fields. Therefore, a priority of the management team of the Faculty is the introduction of management systems and quality control, introduction and standardization of new research methods, adoption of good clinical and laboratory practices and dissemination of knowledge through educational process.
