The Decentralised Administration of Macedonia – Thrace is an public organization of Greek State in a decentralized level. It has a general decisive authority and responsibility in state issues of its prefectures according to Article 101 of the Greek Constitution.

Decentrilised Administration of Macedonia Thrace (D.A.M.T. – Overall LP) is one of the seven decentrilised administrations of Greece, has been established in 2011, as a result of the “Callicrates” administrative reform and contains the regions of Central Macedonia and East Macedonia & Thrace.

It is responsible for state affairs in its manor, including environmental policies, forestry policies and is in charge for the organization, management and operation of the majority of the Greek Border Crossing Points (10).

D.A.M.T. employs around 1950 qualified and experienced personnel - as far as the management of projects, programs, studies, procurements and social actions is concerned.

D.A.M.T. leads the project, as it has the institutional mandate to organize, manage and operating the majority of the Greek Border Crossing Points and implement national legislation.Furthermore, wanting to contribute to the constant and prosperous development of the region, actively participate in development programmes and initiatives undertaken by national and European initiatives and it has significant experience in those programmes.
